tokyo!

No luck still on the photos.

We spent the last few hours in Bangkok at our favorite new thai joint, and were led to an serene spa where we recieved blissful massages.

We made it safe and sound to Tokyo on our redeye, and after a little hide and seek we found our guesthouse. As we arrived pretty early, and check in does not happen until 3:00, we were forced to wander the lonely streets of Asakusa and Ueno. They let us into the guesthouse a little early - and this puppy is small. Clean, nice people, pretty darn cheap for Tokyo, but seriously cell-like. No worries though.

Long gone are the days of great $4 lodging, 80 cent beer, 20 cent water and one dollar dining. Now we are lucky if we can get coffee for under four, and water for a dolla. Oh well, Japan is still pretty amazing despite the high prices. We had okinomiyaki, green tea ice cream and Calpis (my favorite Japanese vending machine treat) - all of which were wonderful.

We are going to meet my friend Atsushi tonight in Shinjuku and will be headed out to the Kansai area in a few days. Blaz cancelled on us, which is so lame. I wonder if he would meet us in Aomori?
