going back to cali
I'm sitting on the 25th floor of the Shiodome Media Tower overlooking Tokyo. Our stay last night at Park Hotel Tokyo was fantastic. I was looking for a Lost in Translation-like experience, and since the Park Hyatt's rate are unbelievable, we wound up here. I think, however, that this ended up being more fun. It's a little more hip here, and the jazz trio last night was amazing. There is a ten story atrium at the top of the building, and the sax player reverberated through the whole thing. They took my request graciously and played A Train like nobodys business.
We met up with Atsushi and Tomoko again, who were just as impressed with our digs as we were. A Chinese feast ensued, as did Atsushi's promises of love to N. Pat (also known as K. Pat) - some of which were captured on video. It was a fantastic last night, with promises to travel, promises to visit and promises to keep in touch.
Stayed up a little late watching Discovery Channel with Ericka, but hey, it's not every day you get to see Harry Connick, Jr's life story.
So we're off to Narita this morning, and at 8:30 on Wednesday we shall arive at SeaTac.
Adieu, Tokyo!

I'm sorry to hear it's all over. I know ya'll have ot get back to your regular lives and leave behind your cushy $4/day beach bungalos for the real world, but I really enjoyed reading all of your stories, seeing your pictures, and seeing you pretty faces in Hokkaido! Hope the flight back to the states was good, enjoy the Spokane!
